STEWARDSHIP SUNDAY BRUNCH

Following Divine Liturgy in the Cotsidas Auditorium
The 2008 Stewardship Campaign has been launched with packets sent to your home. Please join the Stewardship Committee and Parish Council for our first 2008 Stewardship Sunday Brunch in the Cotsidas Auditorium immediately following the Divine Liturgy. This is your opportunity to meet and greet the Stewardship Committee and Parish Council, as well as make your pledge while enjoying some brunch "mezze." This is also the time to ask questions or sign up to be part of the committee.

 

NAME DAY FLOWERS
The Name day flowers for the month of January are sponsored in honor of John Baltas name day. Also, in loving memory of his grandfather John Baltas by Mr. and Mrs. Christo Baltas.

The Family Center Committee is accepting pledges from individuals or families "in honor" or "in memory of" a loved one. This is a wonderful gift to give for the legacy of your family or loved one as well as be part of Saint Spyridon history. Pledges to date: $1,542,014

COUNCIL OF EASTERN ORTHDOX CHURCHES
Did you know? That on Sunday of Orthodoxy, April 3, 1955, the council held it’s first combined Divine Liturgy called the Pan Orthodox Multi Lingual Liturgy in the Worcester Memorial Auditorium with chief celebrants, Metropolitan Anton Bashir and Metropolitan Samuel David (both antiochian). Choir was made up of members of the Council Churches and Holy Cross Seminary. The hymns were sung in English, Greek, Arabic, Romanian and Russian.
